This is a book of prints depicting chronic pain with four carved designs repeated in various compositions for each page. Some pages incorporate only a few of the designs, while others incorporate more. Each carving is based off of a type of pain designed in a way to convey how it feels; when overlapped with other designs it can depict a day living with chronic pain with many symptoms combining together. I introduced sections of color using marker weaving in and out of each pattern, some more minimal than others.
A secondary part to the book, these large scale series of prints incorporate the same carved designs, but more structured and separated when printed. In addition, these prints are minimal in color -- using only a light gold ink -- and play off of torn printed letters that previously spelled out "Chronic Pain".
