For my Senior Capstone project, I focused on making an awareness campaign about a little known, but potentially dangerous disease called endometriosis. For the design, I created playful, energetic, and colorful graphics of internal organs to highlight the extent of the disease beyond the reproductive organs. In the posters, the playfulness of the graphics contrast with the serious, and often alarming messaging as a means to catch viewers’ eyes, but also to parallel the ways in which women’s reproductive health is often minimized and dismissed. The overall campaign raises awareness through transportation posters, and online platforms such as a website and social media in attempts to reach a wide audience of people.
