Wepa is a quarterly magazine that promotes Puerto Rican culture and highlights Puerto Rican individuals. The purpose of this project was to create a focused periodical. This magazine is a collage of celebration and commiseration in light of natural and economic disasters that strike the island. Spending weeks laying out various spread designs and constructing imagery with graphical elements, I designed illustrative icons of traditional artwork that follow the reader as they flip through the pages, and the dual-chromatic color palette reflect the colors of the flag. The colors for the masthead, however, are inspired by the colorful vibrancy of the island seen in the infrastructure, the artwork, and the landscape.
Created using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
